Everything is getting real!

I was really excited (like jumping up and down excited) to get this little video of the fabric for the first edition Fold+Rºlls being printed. It’s a sign that things are moving along just right - and that we’ll soon be able to stock the shop up.

First though the finished fabric needs to be delivered to our manufacturer in Paris where it will be cut, sewn, folded and packed ready for sale.

The whole process of moving from design through sampling to production has been very slow - with more than one ‘oops that’s not going to work’ moment. Not to mention all the paperwork alongside the pattern-making, sampling and produciotn. There has been the other important element of registering the designs, working out spreadsheets and setting up all the processes for selling. It’s been complex. Sometimes I’ve been wracked with doubt. So seeing the print calmly rolling out like this is absolutely brilliant.
